In 2017 I found myself uninspired creatively and socially. This was around the time my son was about to celebrate his first birthday. I was so excited to plan his party. You know, being a stay at home mom can be draining and socially isolating. I was so looking forward to seeing old friends, getting out in the sunshine, and putting my hands to use for something other than changing diapers and cleaning up baby drool. I decided to make my son’s birthday invitations because I thought it would be a fun memory to hold onto and a more meaningful keepsake for his baby box where we have collected so many important mementos. To my surprise everyone at the party was asking where I ordered his invitations from! My friends and family rallied around me when I told them that I had created them and they immediately encouraged me to make some more invitations. Before I knew it, I had friends messaging me placing orders and just like that a little business was born!
I spent a good amount of time learning how to navigate online selling platforms for makers and sold digital files through them with success. But in late 2018, I set my heart on weddings and I haven’t turned back. Invitations are the first part of a wedding story and I love being able to set the tone for your beautiful day to come. Being able to capture a couples’ love, personality, and vision on paper is such a delicate process and I hope that we get the chance to work together.
